Hiatus

Going to Washington, DC in a few days, then on to Florida. Lots of things going on in August.
What are some of you seeing as a response in your local communities, groups, activist and other networks- to the war in the Middle East? Anyone out there involved in Code Pink or other groups still working toward an end to the occupation of Iraq?
Check out Peace Train this week for some perspectives. One recent post is from Changeseeker who is in Wash D.C. right now, protesting the actions in Lebanon. Tina has a post today on white phosphorous- is this being used now by Israel?

I am involved in the Project to end not just this war but the Next War and All War. Its called ending capitalism and it's rather large and time consuming.Could use all the help i can get.

I'm not sure ending capitalism is necessary in order to stop all wars. I dont even know that all wars can be stopped.

But does this mean we shouldn't have a standard about what we kill for?

Kucinich SHOULD run, and he should give voice to the establishment of a Dept of Peace as he has been doing!

In some states, independents cannot vote in ANY primary, they dont have a choice. They are excluded from all.

What do you think of his work on legislation for a cabinet level Dept of Peace?

Your remarks, conservative or otherwise, are always helpful toward informing our discussions. Some of your other remarks have not been "typically conservative" either. We are creatures with many views and opinions, not always captured by a blanket ideology.

I look forward to reading your thoughts when I get back from my travels.

There are some indications that Lebanese casualties have been victims of napalm.

Hi Elizabeth,

I just checked your Peace Train and liked it a lot. I am against the occupation of Iraq or of any other country since I do not believe in this primitive thing called WAR.

Thanks for visiting my blod and please do come back.
