Words Are Power

People from all over this country and all over the world have called on Bush to end this war in Iraq. We share this sentiment and stand in solidarity with antiwar activists in this and other countries. We believe that the war in Iraq is wrong and immoral. We believe that the war in Irag weakens this country. We cry out against the innocents who have been slaughtered and the soldiers dead and wounded.

Please visit the other sites below to see a tour of antiwar photos. This is the voice and the cry of those who oppose this war, those who stand against oppression and stand for justice. Please stand with us and call for an end NOW!

Commendable sentiments that spring from heartfelt idealistic instincts. Kudos from this conservative.

You've been pretty decent for a conservative. Where are you from?

I hail from Boeing Land in the Great Northwest, where there are two kinds of conservatives: the quick and the dead. Sasquatch eats the rest, *ha ha*

Nice pictures. Unfortunately, even if Congress were to pass a resolution calling for a withdrawal of troops, the Decider would just issue a signing statement saying he was gouing to ignore the resolution.

I couldn't help but notice that the hippie in the "Palm Springs" photo is wearing a Florida State shirt. As a University of Florida grad, this shocks me not at all, as Noles are infamous for their America-hating ways.

Rex, looke like there are even some old hippies among the Noles! :)
lew, gotta agree, I have been noticing a fair degree of what looks like burnout (or he summer doldrums) among the antiwar sites I've been visiting. It made me feel good to see that there are others across the land who are still fighting and standing up, even in the face of Congrss' sad vote and the Decider's short-sightedness. It was meant as a morale booster to renergize those folks. No matter the odds, I will not stop speaking out against a war I consider immoral!

People like you pull us along when we drag our feet though. I am totally dragging my feet.

If people like Murtha had their way, al Zarqawi would be running Iraq today. But Bush has been doing the right thing, al Zarqawi is dead, and the nascent Iraqi democracy remains intact.

The totalitarian ends of the terrorists are the evil, not the United States.

You should give credit to Rove when you quote him! that clip was aired a lot today but Murtha's comments addressed that.

he also addressed how really the occupation was not the impetus for the capture of zarqawi.

What you call democracy is perhaps a long term goal but not realized as of ten minutes ago upon my last perusal of news!!!

I'm just waiting for someone to come out with the conspiracy idea that Zarqawi was really funded by Israel and the CIA all along in order to get peaceful Iraqis to hate each other, and that he was killed because his "cover" was about to be blown. (He was Jordanian--Jordan is next to Israel--???) You know it will happen.

Now that you mention it, it does seem surprising that such a theory has not unfolded.

Interesting.
